The Dartmoor Shield rim made of aluminum 6061 is aimed at all those Gravity bikers who prioritize strength and durability. To achieve maximum resistance, the custom MTB rim relies on the sleeve joint construction, which is designed for maximum rigidity.

The reinforced sidewalls and wider lips also make the rim more stable. In addition, they minimize the risk of pinch flats, while the wide profile keeps the tire securely on the rim, even when driving through tight berms at low air pressure.

Dartmoor Sleeve Joint Technology

The Sleeve Joint concept is based on joining the two ends of the rim with an adapter that mimics the inner profile of the rim. This construction method also features the highest stiffness compared to welding methods. The joint is coated with a special adhesive and then pushed into the inside of the rim profile.
