The 65mm version for disc brakes is no exception and is the fastest wheel in the range when it comes to riding on mostly flat trails and in the wind. These wheels were designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France. They are 100% handmade in Mavic's European carbon factory.

Details of the Mavic Cosmic SLR 65 Disc Carbon

Carbon laminate combined with exclusive Fore Carbon technology leaves the upper rim bridge intact and reinforces the rim only where needed, saving 30g per rim. Spokes are attached to the rim without drilling into the upper rim bed, eliminating the need for rim tape. This means more weight savings and less hassle when it comes to fitting or repairing tubeless tyres.

The shape of the rim bed makes mounting and removing tires easier than ever before. UST Tubeless means no tube, so no friction and more air volume for a smoother ride with less rolling resistance.

Patented elliptical spokes save another 5 watts. Infinity hub platform optimizes spoking for efficient power transfer through highly controlled spoke tension. Automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) adds durability.
